The South African Journal of Economics and Management Sciences is a scientific journal, published 4 x p/y by the University of Pretoria.

The journal focuses on economics including environmental, agricultural and construction economics; marketing and communication management; human resource management; business management; accounting and financial management; public management and administration; and tourism.

The journal was started by Prof Geert de Wet, the then head of Department of Economics in 1988 as there was a need for an additional academic journal especially in the area of management.The original title of the journal was Suid-Afrikaanse Tydskrif vir Ekonomiese en Bestuurswetenskappe.

The journal's abbreviated key title is : S. Afr. j. econ. manag. sci. (Online)
