South African Journal of Education (SAJE) was created in 1981 and appears quarterly. The journal publishes original contributions from any of the disciplines in Education.

The SAJE's target audience is professional scientists who do research in a specific field in education.

Its abbreviated title is S. Afr. j. educ., which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips.
