Basic Information

The African Journal of Information Communication focuses on information, communication and digital ecosystem at the global, regional and national level that have implications for developing countries in general, and for Africa and the Southern African region in particular, encouraging debate on various aspects of digital policy, regulation, strategy and implementation.

It is aimed at building interdisciplinary, peer–reviewed, open access scholarly publishing in Africa and elsewhere in the developing world on the digital ecosystem.

The types of material published include Original Articles, Thematic Reports, Publication Reviews, Editorials, and Subject Reviews. The publication language for all Articles, Abstracts and Keywords is English.

The journal publishes two issues a year in June and December.

Afr. j. inf. commun. (Online) is the journal’s key abbreviated title for referencing its material thereof.

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.

Articles selected for publication in AJIC undergo a double–blind peer review process.
