Wim Jonker Klunne is a renowned hydropower expert and has worked on a wide range of education, research and implementation projects around the world on behalf of the African Development Bank, World Bank, ECN, UNDP, GEF and bilater-als. Currently Wim is working at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa as senior researcher on a wide range of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. Wim is currently conducting PhD research with the University of Twente on the sustainability of small hydropower projects in East and Southern Africa. He is also the driving force behind the microhy-dropower.net internet portal and discussion forum, as well as the webmaster of hydro4africa.net.

Meena D. Lysko is a senior researcher and research group leader at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research. She holds an MSc (Physics) from the University of Durban Westville, South Africa and a PhD (Physics) from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
