Pearls and Pitfalls in Head and Neck Surgery: Practical Tips to Minimize Complications

Edited by Claudio R Cernea. 2nd revised and extended edition. Karger. 2012. ISBN: 978-3-8055-9972-6.

This is an excellent book directed at general surgeons, plastic surgeons and ENT surgeons involved in head and neck surgery. It has been cryptically written (each chapter has only 2 pages) and highlights only the key issues relating to diagnostic and surgical techniques of a wide range of both ablative and reconstructive surgical procedures. It is a multi-author book and each chapter has been written by internationally recognised experts in their specific fields. It is highly recommended for all levels of surgeons, from junior registrars to the senior specialists who work in the field of head and neck surgery.
