Abstract

NKOMAZANA, Fidelis. The growth of Pentecostalism and Christian umbrella organisations in Botswana. Studia Hist. Ecc. [online]. 2014, vol.40, suppl.1, pp.153-173. ISSN 2412-4265.

The article discusses the growth of Pentecostalism in Botswana and its role in the formation of inter- and intra-ecumenicat bodies. Its role in the promotion of unity, dialogue and cooperation in the development of society and in the Pentecostal churches, other churches and other religious faiths is also highlighted. The article shows that this development has taken place over time and continues to manifest itself at various stages and in various settings, and that it continues to respond to new challenges posed by globalisation and the technological advances of the 21st century.
