From the Editor

This issue of Historia has come together thanks to the hard work, often in difficult personal and professional circumstances, by a small group of people. As editors, we are greatly indebted to and appreciative of all reviewers, translators, editorial board members, typesetters, printers, and especially our authors.

We are delighted now to be published online and fully open access through the University of Pretoria's Open Journal System,¹ as well as through SciELO, and Sabinet. We are already working with a strong stream of submissions for publication next year. As detailed in the 'Guidelines to Authors' published with this issue, from 2022 we will be implementing a more streamlined referencing system.
