This brief partaking in the debate about law and state focuses on a number of deepening philosophical insights, inter alia regarding the difference between aspects and entities, the distinction between modal laws and type laws, and the nature of modal universality and typically specified universality. Succinct attention is also given to the one-sidedness of both individualistic (atomistic) and universalistic (holistic) approaches - shortcomings that could be transcended if the ontic principles ofsphere-sovereignty and sphere-universality are taken seriously.
