Basic Information

The South African Journal of Library and Information Science – SAJLIS is aimed at serving and reflecting the interests of the LIS community across the spectrum of its wide–ranging activities and research. In addition to formal scholarly articles, the editors will solicit articles on issues of practice and controversial matters as they arise. It is intended to actively encourage young writers, researchers and practitioners to share their experiences and findings so that all aspects of research, teaching, thinking and practice are brought together.

The journal publishes Editorials, Research Articles and Book Reviews in English.

From 2019 the journal is publishing on a continuous publication basis. The editorship position was vacant until November 2019 so 2019 articles have not been approved yet for publication. The journal will resume publishing as soon as possible.

The key abbreviated title is SA Jnl Libs & Info Sci.
