ABOUT THE JOURNAL

 

Basic Information

The African Vision and Eye Health – (AVEH) journal publishes original peer–reviewed papers of scientific and clinical research in optometry, ophthalmology, vision science and other related fields.

Literature Reviews, Technological, Research or Short Notes and Case Reports (of interesting or unusual vision and ocular problems) are included for publication.
Book Reviews, Matters Arising and Letters to the Editor are also welcome.
Regular columns by invited authorities in specific fields are sometimes offered.

The types of papers accepted include Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Book Reviews, Case Reports, Editorials, Research Notes, Letters to the Editor, Corrections, and Cover Letters

The journal publishes at least 1 issue each year.
Articles are published online when ready for publication and then printed in an end–of–year compilation. Additional issues may be published for special events (e.g. conferences) and when special themes are addressed.
