ABOUT THE JOURNAL

 

Basic information

The African Journal of Laboratory Medicine, the official journal of the African Society for Laboratory Medicine, focuses on the role of the laboratory and its professionals in the clinical and public healthcare sectors, and is specifically based on an African frame of reference.

The journal publishes at least one issue each year. Articles are published online when ready for publication and then printed in an end–of–year compilation. Additional issues may be published for special events (e.g. conferences) and when special themes are addressed, e.g. with volume 6 number 2 in 2017 that focuses on Strengthening Tuberculosis Diagnostic Networks in Africa.

Abbreviated key title: Afr. j. lab. med.
